Membership is free and open to those who live locally to a Community Shop store and are in receipt of a means tested benefit (e.g. JSA, ESA, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support).
Community Shop Knottingley provides eligible members of the local community with access to high-quality, low-cost food and household products, as well as giving wrap-around support through its life-changing personal development programmes that deliver real change for individuals and communities.
Members have access to heavily discounted surplus food and products, which have predominantly been donated by major retailers and manufacturers and may otherwise have gone to waste. Call in for your shopping or a tasty meal.
